NEWARK, Ohio— The Stark County Terriers traveled to Newark Tuesday night to take on the first place Licking County Settlers. The Terriers were unable to score despite recording ten hits in the game, resulting in a 3-0 loss and dropping to a 15-13 record on the season. The Settlers would score their runs in the second, third, and seventh inning. Starting pitcher and earning the loss for the Terriers was LHP Kyle Hallock (Kent State University/ Sandusky, OH). Hallock pitched five and one-third innings, allowing two runs, off six hits, while striking out three batters. Leading hitters for the Terriers were Ryan Cypret (3-4), Grant McCoury (2-3, 2B, BB), and Zach Leonard (2-4). Stark County will next take the field Wednesday, as they travel to Cincinnati to take on the Cincinnati Steam in a double header. First pitch is scheduled for 3PM.
