Trent Ridgley Throws Complete Complete Game, Defeating Lower Bucks Indians In First Game of NABF College Summer World Series Rising Sun, Maryland – The Canton Terriers win their first game of the NABF College Summer World Series by defeating the Lowers Bucks Indians 7-1. What started as a pitchers dual, ended with the Terriers taking complete control of the game, both on the field and at bat. The Terriers had nine total hits with four extra base hits, including a triple. In the early innings, both starting pitchers worked their way out of jams. Trent Ridgley had runners in scoring position for five consecutive innings, pitching out of all of them except the fourth, when he gave up one unearned run, the only run scored by the Indians on the day. The Terriers bats would waken in the fifth inning, scoring two runs on two singles and a double. David Blackwell led off the inning with single, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Troy Ellis and scored on Conner Egan's single. Egan would score two batters later on Jeremy Reese's double to the gap, giving the Terriers the lead that they would not lose. The Terriers would add two insurance runs in the six inning on a Jon Lutton double, Kyle Shaffer double and two Indians errors. The Terriers would add three more insurance runs in the eighth inning. Seth Thompson led off the inning with a walk and scored two batters later on Todd Myers' two out RBI single. Myers would be followed by Jeremy Reese who would reach on a throwing error, putting runners in scoring position for Pat Conley. Conley would deliver a huge two out triple to the wall in left center field, scoring Myers and Reese and sealing the victory for the Terriers. Terriers starting pitcher Trent Ridgley threw a complete game, striking out ten and not giving up an earned run.
