The Canton Terriers bats come alive in fifteen hit, fourteen run shortened game against the Clearfield, PA Dingers in the final game of poll play in the NABF College World Series. The Terriers scored two runs in the first inning, three in the second, five in the third, two in the fourth and two in the fifth. The final score would be 14-0 and the game was called after seven innings because of the baseball mercy rule. Kyle Shaffer was responsible for four of the Terriers runs with two swings of the bat, as Shaffer blasted two home runs over the left field wall. Getting hits for the Terriers were Seth Thompson with three singles and two RBI's; Jeremy Reese with two singles, a double and three RBI's; Trent Ridgly with a double and two RBI's; Pat Conley with three singles and a RBI; Greg Miller with a single and a RBI'; David Blackwell with a single; Kyle Shaffer with two home runs and four RBI's; and Troy Ellis with a single.
