Collegiate Terriers Lose Lead Early In Defeat To Premier Ohio.

The College Terriers fell behind early and couldn't come back in an 11-5 loss to Premier Ohio on Saturday. Premier scored on a single by Griffin Stevens and a walk by Steven Currie in the first inning.


The Terriers struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Premier Ohio, giving up 11 runs.


Premier Ohio opened up scoring in the first inning. Stevens singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.


Premier Ohio scored six runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught was led by Bryce Fink, Kevin Guzik, Michael Williams, and Stevens, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.


Sam Krizek pitched Premier Ohio to victory. He went five innings, allowing three runs on five hits, striking out four and walking one. Bryan Dembie threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.


Carson Davis took the loss for the Terriers. He allowed four hits and six runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out four.


Stark County tallied seven hits in the game. Jordan Hite and Collin Hohman each had multiple hits. Hohman and Hite each collected two hits to lead.


Premier Ohio collected ten hits on the day. Stevens and Misael Guzman each collected multiple hits for Premier Ohio. Stevens went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead in hits.
