Late Score Costs 14U Against Mason Aftershock.

The Stark County Terriers 14U lost the lead late in a 9-7 defeat to the Mason Aftershock on Sunday. The game was tied at seven with the Aftershock batting in the top of the seventh when an error scored one run.


The Terriers lost despite out-hitting Mason seven to three.


The Aftershock fired up the offense in the first inning, when Lenhart grounded into a double play, but still managed to score one run.


In the bottom of the sixth inning, Stark County tied things up at seven. An error scored one run for the Terriers.


Parsons led things off on the pitcher's mound for Mason. He allowed four hits and four runs over three and a third innings, striking out two.


Tony Wood started on the mound for the Terriers. He lasted one inning, allowing two hits and four runs. Ryan Grega and Chase Duplain entered the game as relief, throwing four innings and two innings respectively.


The Terriers tallied one home run on the day. Blayne Maurer had a four bagger in the fifth inning. Christopher Maurer went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the team in hits.
